Art @ the Zoo

Art @ the Zoo took place at Manor Wildlife Parc near Tenby on Saturday 19 September.

The family friendly event welcomed almost 300 people from across South Wales to the conservation-led zoo, which is home to endangered species from all corners of the world.

Performers from Organised Kaos Youth Circus and Music in Hospitals entertained the guests in the newly unveiled Geodomes while a specially created exhibition of Kara Seaman prints curated by Oriel Myrddin is on show in the Manor House until 10 November. Founder of Milford Haven’s VC Gallery Barry John also delivered creative arts activity for children.

Speaking at the event, Rachel Jones, Chief Executive of A&B Cymru, said: “We are truly delighted to have the opportunity to stage this special event, celebrating the talent that exists in such abundance in Wales. It is also fantastic to provide a platform to showcase the work of one of our key business members, Manor Wildlife Parc.”

Anna Ryder Richardson, Owner of Manor Wildlife Parc said “It is wonderful to have the opportunity to work in partnership with Arts & Business Cymru on this special event and welcome so many new visitors to the parc. It is also a great pleasure to have had the chance to launch my new charity, The Nature Foundation, during the event. This conservation-led initiative is committed to making a real difference to people and animals at home in Wales and across the world”.
