A senior manager at accountancy firm MHA Broomfield Alexander, Jo specialises in the charity and not-for-profit sector. Wanting to gain a deeper understanding of charitable organisations, she joined the Board of Disability Arts Cymru (DAC) four years ago and has since become its Treasurer. Jo led DAC through complex changes in its charitable status and is key to ensuring that the organisation complies with all current regulations. Her input in business and financial planning has been invaluable to DAC staff who believe she is an exemplary trustee. Helping to recruit a new Finance Officer and Director gave Jo hands-on experience of HR and her work with DAC has directly fed in to her professional life. The judges felt that Jo’s investment of both time and expertise illustrated her outstanding commitment to the arts organisation and made her a clear winner in this category.

Hoodi Ansari, Confused.com

Documentary Photography graduate Hoodi works as a Business Intelligence Analyst at  Confused.com. He was placed on the Board of g39, an artist-led gallery and contemporary art  organisation in Cardiff. Hoodi has brought a unique insight to the organisation through his  analytical skills and expertise in business strategy which has boosted g39’s confidence in its future. At a time of organisational change, Hoodi agreed to become Chair of the Board and has made a major impact on the organisation’s viability, stability and performance.

Roy Jones, MBE, ScottishPower

ScottishPower’s Community Liaison Manager Roy brings his considerable experience of working with arts organisations to the North Wales Committee of Music in Hospitals & Care Cymru. His extensive knowledge and networks, expert business advice and powerful advocacy have had a significant impact on the charity over the last two years. The judges were particularly struck by Roy’s enthusiasm and commitment and wished to commend him for his exceptional contribution to the arts.
