Arts & Business Cymru, Anna’s Welsh Zoo and Cardiff Airport have joined forces to launch a new competition open to any art and design student studying in a Welsh university.

Ideas are invited for the design of three 7ft fibre glass Ostriches which will be installed at Cardiff Airport from March 2015.

One ostrich has already been mounted and painted white and is currently exhibited outside the airport’s Arrivals Hall.

The successful artist(s) will also be invited to exhibit a piece of their work at a special event planned by A&B Cymru and Anna’s Welsh Zoo at Manor Parc in Spring 2015. The Pembrokeshire based conservation-led zoo is owned by former TV presenter and designer Anna Ryder Richardson.
